A meeting between James Ensor and Albert Einstein on the Belgian coast serves as the starting point for this solo exhibition by Edith Dekyndt, curated by Martin Germann.

This new group exhibition evokes the notions of time, origin, memory, and transmission, and their impact on our lives.

In her video, sculpture, installation, drawing, sound and performance, Dekyndt explores the natural and cultural phenomena of the world through a minimalist lens.

Edith Dekyndt focuses her attention on the often invisible, silent forces of transformation. Starting from everyday or natural materials and sounds, she sets processes of change in motion through targeted interventions.

Adopting the prism of two seemingly opposing terms—magic and realism—, the exhibition examines how artists imagine living environments amid the ecological, political and social challenges that mark today’s world.
