In Memoriam

Homage to Christian Boltanski (1944–2021)

The more we work, the more we disappear and the more we become our own work. I think that the desire of an artist is to become his own oeuvre.
—Christian Boltanski

To celebrate the work and memory of Christian Boltanski, the Centre Pompidou, the Opéra Comique, the Château de Versailles and the Musée du Louvre are joining forces to pay tribute to this immense artist, who passed away on 14 July. Designed as a journey through the responsive work of Boltanski, this tribute invites the public to rediscover several emblematic pieces of his work.
