Tacita Dean - The Dante Project The Royal Ballet
In light of recent developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19), events, exhibitions and talks are subject to change.
Tacita Dean participates in Wayne McGregor’s Dante Project: The Royal Ballet’s first ever co-production with the Ballet Opera de Paris, celebrating the life of Dante as inspired by his Divine Comedy. Dean, a Royal Academician, will design the costumes and the set, creating a filmic depiction of "Paradise" that will be projected across the stage.
For the production, Dean will work alongside composer Thomas Adès, lighting designer Lucy Carter, and dramaturge Uzma Hameed, making it her first ballet-collaboration.
