Opening at The Broad, Los Angeles, on June 30, 2018: the exhibition “A Journey That Wasn’t” presents artists’ complex representations of time, and includes Pierre Huyghe’s film “A Journey that Wasn’t.”
The works on view in this collection exhibition range from painting and sculpture to photography, film and installation— and examine the passage of time by alluding to nostalgia or sentiments about aging, often depicting specific places in states of decay; these works can act as documentation, memorial or symbol.
