Tony Cragg in "Waves" Sanlorenzo Arts 2026
The centerpiece of Sanlorenzo's 2026 program will be Waves, a group exhibition hosted at Casa Sanlorenzo from 6 May - 28 June 2026, concurrently with the Venice Biennale. Curated by Sergio Risaliti and Cristiano Seganfreddo, with the scientific support of Ersilia Vaudo Scarpetta, the exhibition explores movement and transformation as universal languages, building a dialogue between art and science through the metaphor of the wave.
The comparison between twentieth-century masters — Alexander Calder, Fausto Melotti, Lucio Fontana — and the sculpture of Tony Cragg, alongside the research of Christine Safa, Friedrich Andreoni and Marcello Maloberti, constructs a layered narrative in which the wave is both a physical phenomenon and a cultural symbol, deeply rooted in the brand's identity.
