Pierre Huyghe - "A:: Light" One Liberty Plaza
Brookfield Properties unveiled a major work by Pierre Huyghe at One Liberty Plaza, a 54-story, 2.3 million-square-foot, centrally located in Lower Manhattan. The recently reimagined double-height lobby features A:: Light, one of Huyghe’s most iconic works, which transforms the soaring ceiling into a video game. The modernist building's grid resonates directly with Huyghe’s work. The logic of the façade, its repetition and neutrality, aligns with the structure of the piece itself. The building does not “illustrate” the artwork; it shares a common language with it. It is accessible 24/7.
