Delcy Morelos transforms the exhibition space of the Lokremise into a large-scale installation made of materials such as soil, clay, natural wood, straw, and spices. In a powerful way, she brings together a deep connection to nature, Indigenous spirituality, and colonial heritage. This site-specific work can be experienced sensually and opens up a dialogue about the estranged relationship between humans and the Earth. In her work, Morelos combines natural materials with contemporary questions of identity, memory, and our relationship to the Earth.
