Jongsuk Yoon - Colors of Water National Museum of Contemporary Art (MMCA), Cheongju
Colors of Water is an exhibition featuring select watercolor works from the museum’s collection. Showcasing 34 Korean artists, it reexamines watercolor as a complete and independent genre, rather than a preparatory medium.
Though familiar, watercolor is rarely highlighted in museums. This exhibition offers a chance to rediscover works by notable Korean modern and contemporary artists, while exploring the medium’s unique qualities and its experimental possibilities.
With around 100 works on view, the show invites reflection on the expressive potential of this fluid medium today.
