Andrea Fraser awarded Rome Prize American Academy in Rome
Marian Goodman Gallery is honored to announce that Andrea Fraser was awarded the Philip Guston Rome Prize by the American Academy in Rome, in recognition of her groundbreaking work in institutional critique.
The Rome Prize supports artists and scholars by providing time, space, and a dynamic community in the city of Rome to pursue ambitious work. Fraser joins a distinguished cohort of fellows across disciplines, whose work exemplifies the Academy’s commitment to intellectual rigor and interdisciplinary exchange.
A survey of her work, Andrea Fraser: Art Must Hang, is currently on view at Zachęta Narodowa Galeria Sztuki in Poland.
