On the 20th anniversary of 9/11 – the most tragic day in New York’s history – we are announcing a special limited edition print sale of Apocalyptic Sky Over Manhattan, NYC, 2001 by Nan Goldin.
100% of the profits* from the sale of this photograph will be shared between the artist’s group P.A.I.N, who were formed to address the overdose crisis and fight againstBig Pharma, who profit off the Drug War, and NC Survivors Union, a national organization headquartered in North Carolina that is owned and operated by people who use drugs. NCUSU provide harm reduction services to drug users, in direct response to the health hazards generated by drug policy.
Last year, Nan Goldin’s benefit print sale allowed NCUSU to purchase an FTIR spectrometer. This machine helps consumers of ‘street drugs’ test their supply to better navigate an increasingly dangerous synthetic drug supply and stay alive.
Nan Goldin & P.A.I.N. are proud to continue to support NCUSU’s vital community-centered work.
