Today opens the largest retrospective of James Coleman at the Reina Sofia, Madrid. One of the most anticipated shows of the season, dedicated to the visual artist James Coleman (Ballaghaderreen, Ireland, 1941). Conducted in close collaboration with the author, the sample travels through seventeen works from his long career, including his earliest works, made in Milan during the sixties and never seen before, to more recent works, as with Retake Evidence that was presented in 2007 at Documenta in Kassel. Also shown for the first time is a selection of documents and personal files of the artist.
