Founded in 1980, the Fellbach Triennial for Small Sculpture is one of the most longstanding art exhibitions in Germany, tracing the current impact and significance of small sculpture in contemporary art.
“Broodthaerskabinet” at S.M.A.K. in Ghent, Belgium is dedicated to the work, books, prints and archival objects that are owned by the museum. The exhibition is a reflection on Broodthaers’s ideas about the meaning of art and its institutions.
The Garage in Moscow presents the first exhibition of Marcel Broodthaers’s work in Russia, a show developed specifically for the 10th anniversary of the museum. It presents over eighty works from throughout the artist’s career which focus on his use of language, the convergence of visual art and poetry, and his unique view of institutional critique.

The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen presents Marcel Broodthaers: A Retrospective, an overview of Broodthaers' oeuvre. Broodthaers formulated a critical and idiosyncratic position within the milieu of Pop Art, Minimalism, and Conceptual Art, and within a short time, received emphatic acclaim on the avant-garde art scene with the institution-critical, installation, and cinematographic works that have established him as a figure of fundamental importance for the visual art in the 20th and early 21st century.
This exhibition is organized by The Museum of Modern Art, New York and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid.
