Yang Fudong

(b. 1971, Beijing. Lives and works in Shanghai, China.)

Yang Fudong graduated from the China Academy of Fine Art, Hangzhou. Yang has had solo exhibitions in institutions such as the Kunsthalle Zurich, Switzerland (2013), Parasol Unit, London (2011), the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (2010), the Asia Society, New York (2009), Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna (2005) and the Renaissance Society, Chicago (2004). He has participated in numerous international group exhibitions including the Venice Biennale in 2003 and 2007. He also exhibited at Documenta XI (2002), the Shanghai Biennale (2002), the Carnegie International, (2005), and the Asia Pacific Triennial (2006).
